Youths are being mobilized for violent protests in Nigeria – DSS

The Department of State Services (DSS) has claimed that there are plans to stage violent protests across Nigeria.

The agency claims these protests are aimed at discrediting the federal government and security agencies over “sundry socio-economic matters”.

This was contained in a statement published on Monday.

The security agency said student leaders, youths, ethnic-based associations, and disgruntled groups are being mobilised for the protests.

The DSS said it has identified the “ring leaders of the plot” and that they are currently being monitored.
