Peseiro to quit Super Eagles role

His next job is believed to be with the national team of Algeria.

Peseiro is currently in talks with the Algerian Football Federation after his contract with the Nigerian Football Federation expired.

According to reports from various sources in Nigeria, Peseiro met the target set by the NFF to reach the semi-finals before a contract renewal could be considered.

Despite guiding the Super Eagles of Nigeria to the runners-up position in the 2023 Africa Cup of Nations, he has reportedly declined to extend his deal.

Rumours suggest that the 63-year-old coach has reached an agreement with the FAF to lead the Algerian national team, signaling his departure from the Super Eagles.

Meanwhile, Algerian media outlet El Hayat reports that Peseiro is still awaiting the final contract from the FAF to sign.
