“Super Eagles Goalkeeper Stanley Nwabali Receives Chieftaincy Title in Rivers Hometown”
“Stanley Nwabali, the Super Eagles goalkeeper, was honored with a chieftaincy title by the traditional ruler of Mgbede community in Egbema Kingdom, Rivers State, Nzeobi Amida, on Sunday. The title, Ugo Egbema ‘The Pride of Egbema Kingdom’, was bestowed upon Nwabali in recognition of his outstanding performance at the 2023 African Cup of Nations in Cote D’Ivoire, as reported by Nigerian sports website BSN. Amuda, also the chairman of ONELGA Council of Chiefs, hailed Nwabali for bringing honor to Egbema Kingdom and ONELGA through his contributions to the Super Eagles. The Rivers State Governor, Siminalayi Fubara, had earlier rewarded Nwabali with N20 million and the honor of Distinguished Service Star of Rivers State. Additionally, President Bola Tinubu honored every player and official of the Nigerian Super Eagles with the Member of the Order of the Niger national award for securing the silver medal at the AFCON.”
