Man caught and arrested for stealing from three churches in Ogun state.

The arrest of Biola Adebesin by the Ogun State So-Safe Corps highlights efforts to combat criminal activities, specifically burglaries targeting places of worship in Baba Ode and Iju communities.

The alleged thefts from the Redeemed Christian Church of God, Onibuku, Cherubim and Seraphim, Baba Ode, and Stronghold Ministry by Adebesin underscore the need for heightened security measures to protect places of worship from criminal activities.

The recovery of items such as two Yamaha keyboards, one mixer engine, a decoder, accessories, one Tecno Android phone, and small Bontel phones suggests a variety of stolen goods, emphasizing the importance of retrieving and returning property to the affected places of worship.

The information about the arrest and recovery of stolen items was conveyed in a statement issued on Sunday by the Office of the State Commander of the So-Safe Corps, Commander Soji Ganzallo, through the Office of the Director of Information and Public Relations of the Corps, Assistant Commander Moruf Yusuf.

Commander Soji Ganzallo, in the statement, detailed an encounter where So-Safe Corps officers, during routine patrol on January 18, 2024, engaged in a face-to-face confrontation with the suspect in Baba Ode community. The suspect, carrying a heavy load on his head, evaded questioning by dropping the load and fleeing.

The suspect, having been marked during the earlier encounter, was subsequently traced to a hotel where he often lodged. He was successfully rearrested at approximately 08:00hrs, highlighting the effectiveness of the efforts made by the So-Safe Corps in apprehending the individual.
