Abba Kabir Yusuf, the Governor of Kano State, expressed deep concern over the skyrocketing prices of essential goods across Nigeria, pledging to personally bring the matter to President Bola Tinubu’s attention.

During a gathering with representatives from the business community and other stakeholders at the Government House in Kano on Monday, February 5, Governor Yusuf emphasized the urgent need for intervention to alleviate the devastating impact of hunger and starvation on the populace.

He stated, “I am committed to personally informing President Tinubu about the dire situation of rising prices and widespread suffering in Kano. Our aim is to seek his intervention to provide relief for the people who are grappling with these challenges.”

Acknowledging that similar difficulties are being experienced in other parts of the country, Governor Yusuf assured that he would advocate for Kano State’s interests as a priority, given its significance as their constituency.
