House of Representatives to Investigate Alleged Involvement of MDAs in Certificate Racketeering

The House of Representatives has decided to launch an investigation into the purported involvement of officials from various Ministries, Departments, and Agencies (MDAs) of the Federal Government in alleged certificate racketeering concerning Nigerian students.
This decision was reached following the adoption of a motion during a session on Wednesday, initiated by Abubakar Fulata, the representative for Birniwa/Guri/Kiri-Kasamma Federal Constituency of Jigawa State.
The motion was prompted by recent revelations, including the case of a Nigerian journalist, Umar Audu, who reportedly obtained a degree from a university in Cotonou, Benin Republic, within a remarkably short span of six weeks. Subsequently, Audu participated in the mandatory National Youth Service Corps (NYSC) scheme.
