EFCC to Take Action Against Schools Implementing Dollar Fees

The Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) has intensified surveillance on international schools collecting tuition fees in dollars and other foreign currencies. Dele Oyewale, EFCC’s Head of Media and Publicity, confirmed the agency’s commitment to cracking down on such practices, emphasizing that it’s against the law for schools, hotels, and businesses in Nigeria to charge in foreign currencies. Oyewale highlighted the deployment of a 7,000-member special task force across EFCC’s zonal commands to monitor and tackle any involvement in this illegality by schools and other organizations.
