EFCC Apprehends 48 Suspected Yahoo Boys and Herbalist with Assorted Black Soaps in Kogi State

“Ilorin Zonal Command of EFCC Apprehends 48 Suspected Internet Fraudsters and Herbalist in Kogi State

The Ilorin Zonal Command of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) has detained 48 individuals suspected of internet fraud and a herbalist for their involvement in offences related to conspiracy and obtaining under false pretence.

The arrests were made following credible intelligence gathered on Tuesday, March 5, 2024, at various locations in Lokoja, Kogi State.

According to a statement released by the EFCC on Thursday, March 7, the herbalist, believed to be a spiritual mentor to internet fraudsters, was apprehended with various charms.

Among the items confiscated from the suspects are 10 luxury cars, two motorcycles, 11 laptops, 83 mobile phones, and assorted charms.

All the suspects, who are male and aged between 17 and 34, will face prosecution in court once investigations are concluded.”
