AFCON 2023: Nigerian High Commission in South Africa Issues Warning to Citizens Ahead of Semi-Final Showdown

The Nigerian High Commission in South Africa on Monday, issued an advisory to its citizens living in the country.

The advisory referred to “potentially inflammatory” online comments by a section of South Africans made against Nigerians residing in the country ahead of the 2023 Africa Cup of Nations semi-final.

The High Commission, which is based in Pretoria, South Africa, therefore warned Nigerians to be alert and be of good conduct before, during and after the match.

Nigeria has a strong presence in different parts of South Africa.

The citizens have been victims of various violent attack in the country in the past.

The Super Eagles will take on the Bafana Bafana at the Stade de la Paix, Bouake on Wednesday.
