Give me time – Pochettino pleads with Chelsea’s owners after latest defeat
Mauricio Pochettino has pleaded for more time and support from the owners of Chelsea.
This was following another defeat on Sunday. Chelsea suffered a 1-0 loss to Aston Villa at Stamford Bridge.
The Aston Villa defeat followed a similar result from Nottingham Forest last week. And Chelsea failed to score in both games.
The new club owners have spent over £1billion on players in the last three transfer windows.
Todd Boehly has already sacked two managers, Thomas Tuchel and Graham Potter
“Give me time because I didn’t see them after the game. They are disappointed they are so excited to build some project but of course they feel disappointed. But at the same time they need to support the plan,” Pochettino said after their defeat to Villa.
“The team has given everything, we need to keep working. To play with 10 men is always difficult but the team worked hard.
“We need to change the situation, the only way I know we can change the situation is by working really hard.
“We are confident in the way we perform. The only thing we are missing is scoring. If we keep working hard we will change.”
