Pochettino is too hard on me – Noni Madueke

Chelsea forward, Noni Madueke, has acknowledged that manager Mauricio Pochettino has been demanding of him since his arrival at the club.

The young winger joined Chelsea from PSV during the January transfer window and has experienced a mixed start to his tenure at Stamford Bridge.

Madueke, however, believes that everyone at the club needs to elevate their performance to restore the team to its rightful position in the table.

According to the Evening Standard, he remarked, “He’s tough with me, but I probably need that. He’s transparent as well, which is really important, to understand where you stand and what he expects from you. He knows when to be strict with me and when to offer support. I can’t fault him.

“He’s a fantastic man manager. He’s fostered a culture where we are like brothers off the pitch. It helps that we have a young squad, so we spend a lot of time together anyway. We consider ourselves fortunate to have him.”
