President Tinubu, Abiodun, and Dignitaries Scheduled to Visit OOU for Project Commissioning on May 10, 2024
President Bola Ahmed Tinubu will grace the 64th Coronation and 90th Birthday Anniversaries of His Royal Majesty, Oba (Dr.) Sikiru Kayode Adetona, CFR, the Awujale and Paramount Ruler of Ijebuland. The event, set for May 10, 2024, will witness the official commissioning of the Oba S. K. Adetona School of Governance Studies and its imposing multi-million Naira complex.
Joining the President and the Ogun State Governor, Prince Dapo Abiodun, will be several dignitaries, including state governors, ministers, traditional rulers, and top government officials. The ceremony will feature a lecture by Professor Akinsola Agagu, the Chair of the Oba S. K. Adetona Professorial Chair in Governance.
The School of Governance Studies, a donation from His Royal Majesty, aims to address contemporary governance challenges at both local and global levels through research initiatives. Additionally, the monarch’s contributions include the establishment of iconic buildings, a professorial chair residential arena, and infrastructure improvements on the university campus.
The Vice-Chancellor, Prof. Ayodeji Agboola, invites the university community to participate in this occasion as a gesture of appreciation to Oba (Dr.) Sikiru Kayode Adetona, CFR.
