Actress Nkechi Blessing, Laide Bakare react as Taiwo Hassan and Yinka Quadri finally reconcile
Nollywood actresses Nkechi Blessing and Laide Bakare have responded to the reconciliation between their senior colleagues, Taiwo Hassan and Yinka Quadri.
Previously, their friendship was rocked by rumors spread by anonymous blogger Gistlover, and tensions escalated when Yinka Quadri missed Shaki’s wedding and naming ceremony.
However, the two veterans have now patched things up, with videos circulating online showing them embracing each other at Yomi Fabiyi’s birthday celebration. In the footage, Yinka Quadri can be seen on stage showering the band singer with money, with Taiwo Hassan joining him. They then exchanged words before reconciling with a hug.
Many were surprised by the previous rift between the two actors and commended them for their maturity.
Nkechi Blessing expressed her surprise at their past conflict, questioning when it had occurred in a comment on a blog post: “Fight? When Biko?”
Laide Bakare shared her joy at their reconciliation, offering “Huge congratulations.”
In a similar vein, in 2022, Madam Saje and Fali Werepe almost clashed at Yinka Quadri’s 63rd surprise birthday party. Tensions arose when the latter contested Madam Saje’s assertion at the star-studded event. Madam Saje, feeling slighted, asserted her seniority in the Nollywood industry over Fali Werepe.
Fali Werepe, harboring no ill will toward her colleague, clarified that she was merely correcting an exaggeration.
However, the two reconciled, with Fausat demonstrating her lack of resentment towards Fali by writing a heartfelt note to her on her birthday.
Similarly, last year, Toyin Abraham and Funke Akindele buried the hatchet after years of rivalry over box office dominance.
The two actresses resolved their differences, with Toyin Abraham celebrating Funke on her birthday, reciprocated by Funke. To underscore their newfound harmony, Toyin attended the premiere of Funke Akindele’s movie “She Must Be Obeyed.”
