NFF Narrow Down Choices: Three Coaches Shortlisted for Super Eagles’ Coaching Position
“Emmanuel Amuneke, Domenec Torrent, and Antonio Conceicao Shortlisted for Super Eagles Coaching Position”
Former international footballers Emmanuel Amuneke, Domenec Torrent, and Antonio Conceicao have emerged as the final three candidates for the Super Eagles coaching role, as reported by DAILY POST. According to a source within the Nigeria Football Federation (NFF), the technical committee has forwarded the names of these three coaches to the executive committee for consideration. Torrent, known for his tenure as assistant to Manchester City’s Pep Guardiola, is reportedly the top foreign contender, followed by Conceicao, who previously led Cameroon’s national team. Among the local coaches, Amuneke stands out with his impressive CV and experience, having previously coached Nigeria’s U-17 team and the Tanzania national team. While opinions within the board are divided between a foreign or local coach, the final decision is expected to come down to one of these three candidates.
