Federal Government Set to Install Biometric Gates at International Airports by March

The Federal Government has finalized plans to introduce biometric clearance gates in collaboration with the Nigeria Immigration Service across the nation’s international airports. These cutting-edge facilities are scheduled to be operational by March 2024. The designated airports for this installation include Murtala Muhammed International Airport in Lagos, Nnamdi Azikiwe International Airport in Abuja, Mallam Aminu Kano International Airport, Port Harcourt International Airport, and Akanu Ibiam International Airport in Enugu. Once operational, these gates will streamline the clearance process for passengers arriving at any of Nigeria’s international airports, ensuring a seamless travel experience.
