Lagos Police Apprehend Alleged Leader of One-Chance Gang

The Lagos State Police Command’s operatives detain Ndubisi George, 49, suspected leader of a one-chance robbery gang, as announced by SP Benjamin Hundeyin, the command’s Public Relations Officer. ‘One chance’ refers to a robbery tactic where criminals pose as commercial drivers to rob unsuspecting passengers. George allegedly operates in Itire, Aguda, Cele, and Surulere areas. One grey Toyota Camry was seized, with efforts ongoing to apprehend other syndicate members. George faces remand in prison till March 18, 2024. Earlier in January, Lagos State Traffic Management Authority nabbed a three-man one-chance gang at Jubilee Bridge, Abule-Egba, after public pursuit post-robbery.
