Madagascar Approves New Law to Surgically Castrate Pedophiles

Madagascar Implements Surgical Castration for Pedophiles Under New Law
Madagascar’s parliament has approved a groundbreaking law that mandates the surgical castration of pedophiles, as reported by Mail Online. The legislation specifies that individuals convicted of raping a child under the age of ten will undergo surgical castration and receive a life sentence. For victims aged between ten and 13, offenders will undergo chemical castration and endure 15 to 20 years of forced labor. However, if the perpetrator is a minor, they will be exempt from castration. The bill, introduced by President Andry Rajoelina last month, received parliamentary approval on February 2, 2024.
