The Kogi State Police Command has initiated an intensive search operation to apprehend the perpetrators responsible for the abduction of 14 Abuja-bound travellers. The incident occurred in two separate luxury buses at Inyenle Eteke, Ogugu, within the Olalamaboro Local Government Area of Kogi State.
According to reports from social media influencer Chude Nnamdi, who first broke the news on his verified X (formerly Twitter) handle, chude_, the buses belong to reputable transportation companies Good Is Good and ABC Transport. Nnamdi expressed his distress as he revealed that his wife was among the passengers on one of the hijacked buses. However, the exact number of individuals abducted from the two buses remains unconfirmed.
“The report reaching me this morning is that a GIG & ABC Transport buses heading to Abuja were hijacked by kidnappers yesterday in Kogi State,” Nnamdi tweeted.
